As The Play Ends…

As the play ends,
The curtains fall and the audience hail the performance,

Back behind the curtains,
What’s called the back-stage,
Live the artists,
Whose physiques not, feelings and ethics beckon you to envisage,
Their true insides,

One who played Damsel in distress might actually be a happy woman,
One who played Romeo might actually be a womanizer,
One who played Knight might actually be a law breaker,
One who played Othello might actually treat his wife as a pure and trustworthy soul,
One who played Hamlet might actually be a savior of many,
One who played Traitor might actually be the most loyal citizen a country ever had,
One who played Teacher might still be learning the turns and tides of life after all,

There is no life without performances indeed,
But life shouldn’t entirely be of performances, that would be a misdeed,

Back behind the curtains,
What’s called the back-stage,
Live the artists,
Whose physiques not, feelings and ethics beckon you to envisage,
Their true insides.
