WHEN THE HUNTER BECOMES THE HUNTED
a vast dense jungle . . .
lion scouts for the weakest deer
silent paws turn fierce
~ ~ ~
a skilled hunter fool . . .
silences jungle king’s roar
his own dark pride roared
~ ~ ~
not a moment later . . .
king’s pride dawned upon hunter
tat! pride preyed on pride
~ ~ ~
a man is weakestΒ
when he is self-conscious
of his own darned pride
~ ~ ~
Marvelous and well said!! Surely a ‘hunter fool’ and ‘dark pride roared’.
Loved the role change taking place!!

Pride can be a weakness even in a king!

Thank you! But ‘sir’? I am only 21! :O π
Liked all the haikus. Beautifully woven.
Thank you, Neelam:)
The weakest always seem to get the worst end of life’s deals!
Hunter
Yes. Sadly, yes. But those who chose to be weak(metaphorically) MUST get the worst. But very often, they don’t. In this story though, I made them get it. Because I always felt for the naturally weak people who, as you said, seem to get the worst. When god doesn’t do right, we must. I did it with a story. Thank you for reading! π
I love Haikus and lions!
Great! Hope you enjoyed my haiku about lion then! π Thanks for reading π
The last one is so true.
It is, isn’t it! π
Now this is what I call a Haiku! Brilliant. Each was one story in self! Loved the first 3 lines.
Keep up the great work!
